BURGER POP-UP MENU DESIGN: MEEKSWEATS This menu was created for a dinner party a client was hosting in July 2021. They wanted a menu that would make it feel like it was a real pop-up restaurant and gave me a list of burgers and sauces they had crafted specifically for the occasion. The namesake is after the client’s nickname growing up, Meeks, and we collaborated on the name to be a parody of the infamous ‘meat sweats’. The client gave me creative freedom on the menu and trusted my vision. Click on the images below to get a closer look and learn more about my process.

TEA BOX PACKAGING: TRUE TEA Created for a fictitious company named TrueTea based in Farmington, Michigan. The demographic is for men and women aged 20+. My goal for this project was to experiment with using a dieline and create a tea brand that really stands out from the competition. The theme of the packaging would morph and change depending on the flavor of the teas. Click on each image to learn more about my design process for this project.

PACKAGING REBRAND AND REFRESH: DOWNEY'S POTATO CHIPS Downey's Potato Chips is a chip company based out of Waterford, MI that has been in business since 1984. My goal for this project was to create an updated version of their 2018 - 2021 packaging while keeping the brand's spirit and history intact. In addition, I also made a rebranded version of the chip bag to help the company appeal to a larger audience. Click on the images to get a closer look and learn more about my design process.

  • About | emilyisdesigning

ABOUT ME Thanks for checking out my work! I'm Emily, a graphic designer born and raised in Mid-Michigan. Since I was a kid, art and design have always fascinated me. I was that student who couldn't resist adding some pizzazz to my homework by doodling in the margins. I'll never forget the thrill of inspecting packaging at the grocery store, trying to crack the code of its irresistible charm. That's how I fell head over heels for amazing design and creative problem-solving. My mission? To infuse the world with color and fun, inspiring others just like those incredible designers inspired me. When I'm not burning the midnight oil moving pixels or hunting down the perfect Pantone swatch, you can catch me grooving to my favorite tunes, exploring video game realms, baking up sweet treats for my loved ones, or diving into my next hobby obsession. The second is "Kool Beans Tex-Mex" which features juicy, bright colors and desert iconography. Click the thumbnails to take a closer look and learn more about my design process.
